ACTIVITIES AND SERVICES FOR SENIORS
Rev. Sean Butler oversees our ministry for "seasoned citizens": (636) 394-2233 ext 115. Please review the variety of resources available for Senior Citizens at St. Mark:
Worship:
large print Hymnals
amplification for the hearing impaired
wheelchair available
van to pick up individuals (call church office 636-394-2233)
Fellowship Groups:
GoGetters - a lively group of women who meet once a month, ten times per year, for fun activities and fellowship. Their usual meeting day is the first Tuesday of the month. In warmer months, they enjoy outings to restaurants, historical sights and various local attractions. During the winter, they “stay in” at the church for lunch and fun activities such as watching movies, having parties and competing in trivia contests. If you would like more information, please contact any of the coordinators: Jill Boyd, Sandy Rodney or the church office at
(636) 394-2233. We’d love to have you join us!
Spinnakers - meet the 3rd Friday of each month (except for July and August). The Spinnakers invite all spirited, young-at-heart 55+ year old folks to come to their meetings and enjoy food, fellowship and fun at church. Come give us a try! Some upcoming plans are a game night, a presentation on Antarctica and the annual summer picnic. The group sells pecans during the holiday season to raise money for local missions. Members volunteer at different local charities and help with several tasks around the church. Contact Skippers Frank & Charlene Calkins, First Mates Doris Dieckgraefe & Larry Mrazek, or the church office at 636-394-2233 to get on board with the Spinnakers!
