THE TEN MOST WANTED LIST
The "Ten Most Wanted List" has been an extremely effective means by which donations can be directed, by members or friends of St. Mark, toward the purchase of items needed by the committees and other organizations within the Church. The "Ten Most Wanted List" is displayed in the Narthex on an ongoing basis. We have had a terrific response for funding the 10 Most Wanted items. Great News!..several of our most wanted items have been given partial funding through memorialgifts and gifts from our generous congregation. Thank you to all who have contributed. We are extremely grateful for those gifts.
Funding is still needed for:
- Media Room -- total cost $15,000 - still needed: $4,163.09
- Computers for Office -- total cost $3,000 - still needed: $2,463.13
- New exterior halogen steeple lights for improved lighting—estimated cost $4,000
- Concrete replacement on the east side of the church between Mark and Luke doors. Concrete has been patched numerous times—estimated cost $12,000
- Maintenance on the Memorial Garden of Winton & Cherrie Briscoe.
This is the garden area between the upper & lower parking lots and the rock garden below. Maintenance includes fixing an erosion problem.
Estimated cost: $3,000 - still needed: $2,880.00 - Steam cleaning of the church pews and sanctuary carpet – total cost $2700.
The upholstery on the pews and chairs is in need of a professional cleaning and the carpet is stained in several places. After 8 years of wear it would be great to welcome spring with a clean sanctuary. - Scholarships for Preschool - This request is to cover 1/2 of the tuition for two pre-kindergarten students at our preschool. Total cost $742 each. This is an opportunity to help families and support our youth.
- Humidifier/Dehumidifier attachment for the heating system -- total cost $2000. The Music Ministry is asking for contributions to fund the acquisition and installation of this system. Humidity levels in the choir room often vary greatly and correct humidity levels will protect the piano that is used in the choir room.
